Vintage Champion Spark Plug Tester

Category
Memorabilia

Fully restored 1930’s Champion Spark Plug tester. This machine is powered by an original Model T coil and transformer that work superbly. The metal housing has been bead blasted and repainted in its original color. The pressure gauge is a restored original. The plywood base is original and has been re-glued to make it look exactly like it used to. The test button in original. The air valve is a replacement. All the wiring has been replaced with new wiring. The machine is now grounded in a modern fashion.

This tester has all of the threaded adapters included: 2 of each 10mm, 14mm, and 18mm. Without using adapters, you can test the old 7/8-18 spark plugs directly into the machine into the LH and RH ports. Using the center port, you can test the Model T Ford 1/2 NPT spark plug. The adapters store on the back side of the mirrored reflecting plate, which has been beautifully re-plated in chrome.
